Starting in 2016, we have seen many ups and downs. With difficulties came lessons, and through failure came success. Without these circumstances we would not have produced Meeko, an electric scooter that can withstand the rigors of daily life while remaining reliable, environmentally responsible, and fun.

Our story began when the founder Samu Saaristo got tired of bottlenecks in traffic, parking lots, and in general cars obstructing his daily life, so he decided to look for an electric scooter, however, he found another one. Problem: All products on the market were overpriced, poorly built, and troublesome to maintain. He knew the public deserved better, and before long, he founded Meeko.

To be a sustainable company, we make sure our electric scooters stay on the road, not in the landfill. Our current City and Pro models are the culmination of years of development and thousands of miles driven. When we first produced them, we decided to bring our previous models back and replace key components at no cost. We did this not because they stopped working, but because we had created something better.

In 2018, we worked together with the Aalto Industrial Design University Masters program to help build clean, accessible and innovative vehicles. here .
We have also been partners for several years with AKK in the WRC Rally Finland competition. Working with their pit crew, and serving as general transportation through public events, we test our scooters with the stresses of daily life in an intensive 3-day operation.
